Die Arbeit Astrazione 1979 von Franco Fontana wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion Fotografia bei Il Ponte versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 2.800,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Franco Fontana mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Piscina - 1984 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2016 für EUR 8.060,00 versteigert wurde.
