This artwork by Francisco Vidal achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2003. In the Boulle to Jansen: An Important Private European Collection auction, the work A three-master lying at anchor in Port Mahon, Minorca sold for GBP 4,182.50 (€ 6,010.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francisco Vidal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Icarus Chocolate, which sold at auction in May 2017 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,228.11).

In der Auktion Boulle to Jansen: An Important Private European Collection wurde die Arbeit A three-master lying at anchor in Port Mahon, Minorca für GBP 4.182,50 (€ 6.010,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Francisco Vidal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Icarus Chocolate beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.228,11) versteigert wurde.
