Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale, which included this untitled work by Francisco Matto. It changed hands for a price of USD 23,750.00 (€ 19,201.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francisco Matto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Constructivo en rojo y azul, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,164.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Francisco Matto zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 19.201,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Francisco Matto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Constructivo en rojo y azul beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.164,27) versteigert wurde.
