This artwork by Francisco de Goya achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Skinner Boston in January 2024. In the Prints & Photographs auction, the work The Little Prisoner sold for USD 1,088.00 (€ 950.88) - well above the upper estimate of USD 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco de Goya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Doña María Vicenta Barruso Valdés, seated on a sofa with a lap-dog; and Portrait of her mother Doña Leonora Antonia Valdés de Barruso, seated on a chair holding a fan in January this year with an auction result of USD 16,420,000.00 (€ 15,122,490.33).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Francisco de Goya erzielte im Januar 2024 bei Bonhams in Skinner Boston einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Photographs wurde die Arbeit The Little Prisoner für USD 1.088,00 (€ 950,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco de Goya erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Doña María Vicenta Barruso Valdés, seated on a sofa with a lap-dog; and Portrait of her mother Doña Leonora Antonia Valdés de Barruso, seated on a chair holding a fan im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.420.000,00 (€ 15.122.490,33).
