In November 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Pintor by Francisco Corzas. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,049.10) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francisco Corzas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Desnudo de espalda in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 171,379.61).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pintor von Francisco Corzas zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 22.049,10) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francisco Corzas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Desnudo de espalda im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 171.379,61).
