It achieved a price of USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,677.59), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Francisco Corzas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Desnudo de espalda in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 171,379.61).

Die Arbeit Cierto rostro von Francisco Corzas wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.677,59) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francisco Corzas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Desnudo de espalda im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 171.379,61).
