Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Actor by Francisco Corzas was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,774.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Corzas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Desnudo de espalda in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 171,379.61).
