Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in Sydney held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Nature morte by Francis Picabia. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,700.00 (€ 51,980.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Picabia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pavonia in March last year with an auction result of EUR 9,996,700.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nature morte von Francis Picabia zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 56.700,00 (€ 51.980,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Picabia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pavonia im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.996.700,00.
