The work Pavonia by Francis Picabia was sold in the Surrealism and Its Legacy auction at Sothebys in Paris in March last year. It achieved a price of EUR 9,996,700.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25 %. With this result, Pavonia is even the most expensive work of art by Francis Picabia that we have observed at auctions so far.
