Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2008 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian girl by Francis Lymburner. The price achieved of AUD 6,960.00 (€ 4,062.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by Francis Lymburner have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2005 the work The Advocate was auctioned for AUD 8,962.50 (€ 5,461.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2008 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian girl von Francis Lymburner zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 6.960,00 (€ 4.062,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Francis Lymburner konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2005 die Arbeit The Advocate für AUD 8.962,50 (€ 5.461,82) versteigert.
