Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francis Lymburner could be acquired at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Fred and Elinor Wrobel Collection Online auction, the work At Circular Quay changed hands for AUD 615.00 (€ 374.85) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Lymburner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Advocate in August 2005 with an auction result of AUD 8,962.50 (€ 5,461.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Francis Lymburner konnte im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Fred and Elinor Wrobel Collection Online wechselte die Arbeit At Circular Quay für AUD 615,00 (€ 374,85) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Lymburner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Advocate im August 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 8.962,50 (€ 5.461,82).
