Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Monterey Cypress by Francis John McComas was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,100.00 (€ 4,619.57). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis John McComas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cliff Dwellings in November last year with an auction result of USD 164,175.00 (€ 159,038.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Monterey Cypress von Francis John McComas wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.100,00 (€ 4.619,57) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis John McComas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cliff Dwellings im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 164.175,00 (€ 159.038,07).
