Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work City by the Sea by Francis John McComas was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021. It achieved a price of USD 7,012.50 (€ 5,942.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis John McComas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cliff Dwellings in November last year with an auction result of USD 164,175.00 (€ 159,038.07).
