This artwork by Francis John McComas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2020. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work Sunlit Path sold for USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,293.54) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis John McComas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cliff Dwellings in November last year with an auction result of USD 164,175.00 (€ 159,038.07).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Francis John McComas erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wurde die Arbeit Sunlit Path für USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.293,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis John McComas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cliff Dwellings im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 164.175,00 (€ 159.038,07).
