Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work Man Alone by Francis de Erdely for USD 1,386.00 (€ 1,249.44). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Discoveries at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis de Erdely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fish Market in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,607.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Man Alone von Francis de Erdely für USD 1.386,00 (€ 1.249,44) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Discoveries bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis de Erdely erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Fish Market im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.607,48).
