The work Head of a young man by Francis Cadell was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May last year. It achieved a price of GBP 7,905.00 (€ 9,299.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 32%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Cadell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reflection in June last year with an auction result of GBP 942,500.00 (€ 1,094,916.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Head of a young man von Francis Cadell wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 7.905,00 (€ 9.299,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 32%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Cadell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reflection im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 942.500,00 (€ 1.094.916,90).
