Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Iona by Francis Cadell was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 52,920.00 (€ 62,133.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Cadell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reflection in June last year with an auction result of GBP 942,500.00 (€ 1,094,916.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Iona von Francis Cadell wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 52.920,00 (€ 62.133,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Cadell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reflection im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 942.500,00 (€ 1.094.916,90).
