This artwork by Francesco Somaini achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2005. In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work Rocconto sul mare sold for USD 3,360.00 (€ 2,574.91) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Somaini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Obliqua. Il Gesto, which sold at auction in October 2018 for EUR 8,125.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Francesco Somaini erzielte im Januar 2005 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE wurde die Arbeit Rocconto sul mare für USD 3.360,00 (€ 2.574,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesco Somaini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Obliqua. Il Gesto beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für EUR 8.125,00 versteigert wurde.
