Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Holy Family With The Infant Saint John The Baptist by Francesco Morandini was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2007. The price achieved of USD 66,000.00 (€ 50,777.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Morandini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Francesco I de' Medici (1541-1587), Grand Duke of Tuscany, three-quarter-length, in a fur-trimmed coat and a white ruff, his hand resting on the pages of Mattioli's 'Commentarii in sex Libros Pedacii Dioscoridis', on a draped table with a, which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 157,250.00 (€ 193,

Die Arbeit The Holy Family With The Infant Saint John The Baptist von Francesco Morandini wurde im Januar 2007 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
