The work Five studies of the head of Giuliano de' Medici, after Michelangelo by Francesco Morandini was worth GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,896.16) to a buyer in July 2017. This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Francesco Morandini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Francesco I de' Medici (1541-1587), Grand Duke of Tuscany, three-quarter-length, in a fur-trimmed coat and a white ruff, his hand resting on the pages of Mattioli's 'Commentarii in sex Libros Pedacii Dioscoridis', on a draped table with a in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 157,250.00 (€

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 um ein Vielfaches.
