The work Eva by Francesco Messina was sold in the Arte Moderna e Contemporanea auction at Il Ponte in December 2019. It achieved a price of EUR 9,500.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58 %. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Francesco Messina; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Busto di donna sold at auction in May 2007 with the realized price of EUR 18,000.00.

Die Arbeit Eva von Francesco Messina wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea bei Il Ponte versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 9.500,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58 %. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Francesco Messina; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Busto di donna im Mai 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 18.000,00.
