Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vaso di fiori by Francesco Mantovano was sold in the Old Master Pictures auction at Christies in Milan in November 2008. The price achieved of EUR 32,300.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Mantovano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Carnations, lilies, narcissi, convolvulus and other flowers in a sculpted urn on a stone ledge; and Tulips, roses, carnations and convolvulus in a sculpted urn on a stone ledge, which sold at auction in December 2006 for GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,676.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vaso di fiori von Francesco Mantovano wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Old Master Pictures bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 32.300,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesco Mantovano mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Carnations, lilies, narcissi, convolvulus and other flowers in a sculpted urn on a stone ledge; and Tulips, roses, carnations and convolvulus in a sculpted urn on a stone ledge beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für GBP 45.600,00 (€ 67.676,11) versteigert wurde.
