Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Study Of Two Peasants by Francesco Londonio for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,521.20). This price was achieved in the auction Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Francesco Londonio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shepherds with their grazing sheep; Shepherds resting with their flock; and Peasants traveling with donkeys and sheep in January 2005 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 55,176.64).
