Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francesco Londonio could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings and Drawings Part II auction, the work Horse and cow changed hands for USD 1,890.00 (€ 1,761.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Londonio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shepherds with their grazing sheep; Shepherds resting with their flock; and Peasants traveling with donkeys and sheep in January 2005 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 55,176.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Francesco Londonio konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Master Paintings and Drawings Part II wechselte die Arbeit Horse and cow für USD 1.890,00 (€ 1.761,25) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Londonio erzielen.
