In May last year Christies in Paris held the auction Maîtres Anciens - Dessins, Peintures, Sculptures, which included the work Garçon Endormi by Francesco Londonio. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,772.00 39% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Londonio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shepherds with their grazing sheep; Shepherds resting with their flock; and Peasants traveling with donkeys and sheep in January 2005 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 55,176.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Maîtres Anciens - Dessins, Peintures, Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Garçon Endormi von Francesco Londonio zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.772,00 und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Londonio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shepherds with their grazing sheep; Shepherds resting with their flock; and Peasants traveling with donkeys and sheep im Januar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 55.176,64).
