Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2002 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO - 19TH CENTURY ART, which included the work Bagno al torrente by Francesco Coleman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,800.00 – 2,200.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,860.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Francesco Coleman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cavalli Nella Campagna Romana in June 2005 with an auction result of EUR 11,160.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2002 führte Christies in Rom die Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO - 19TH CENTURY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bagno al torrente von Francesco Coleman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.800,00 – 2.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.860,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francesco Coleman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cavalli Nella Campagna Romana im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.160,00.
