Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures, which included the work Moorish prayers by Francesco Coleman. The price achieved of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,612.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francesco Coleman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cavalli Nella Campagna Romana in June 2005 with an auction result of EUR 11,160.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Moorish prayers von Francesco Coleman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.612,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francesco Coleman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cavalli Nella Campagna Romana im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.160,00.
