Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2005 Christies in London held the auction Important Old Master Pictures, which included the work Pears, a peach and grapes with a bluetit in a porcelain bowl on a ledge with dead finches, carnation heads, seedheads, and peaches by Franz Godin. The price achieved of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 34,811.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franz Godin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peaches and plums in a tazza and a finch eating blackberries from a porcelain bowl with gilt handles and a façon-de-Venise vase with carnations and wallflowers, on a ledge with cherries, seedheads, pine needles and a butterfly, which sold at auction in July 2005 for GBP 72,000.00 (€ 104,435.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pears, a peach and grapes with a bluetit in a porcelain bowl on a ledge with dead finches, carnation heads, seedheads, and peaches von Franz Godin zur Versteigerung kam. Für andere Arbeiten von Franz Godin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Peaches and plums in a tazza and a finch eating blackberries from a porcelain bowl with gilt handles and a façon-de-Venise vase with carnations and wallflowers, on a ledge with cherries, seedheads, pine needles and a butterfly beobachtet, die im Juli 2005 für GBP 72.000,00 (€ 104.435,32) versteigert wurde.
