Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francesca Dimattio could be acquired at Phillips in London in July 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Head and Mask 24 changed hands for GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,216.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francesca Dimattio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Knot in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,860.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Francesca Dimattio konnte im Juli 2021 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit Head and Mask 24 für GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.216,42) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francesca Dimattio auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Knot im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.860,25).
