Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ladbrokes by France-Lise McGurn was auctioned at Christies in London in June this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,996.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by France-Lise McGurn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Goya Eyes in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 103,663.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ladbrokes von France-Lise McGurn kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.996,35) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von France-Lise McGurn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Goya Eyes im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 103.663,87).
