Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Oum Koulthum by Fouad Elkoury was sold in the This Too Shall Pass auction at Sothebys in Dubai in June 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,677.94). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fouad Elkoury - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lebanese sherihan (From The Egyptian Cinema Series), which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,758.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Oum Koulthum von Fouad Elkoury wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion This Too Shall Pass bei Sothebys in Dubai versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.677,94) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Fouad Elkoury mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lebanese sherihan (From The Egyptian Cinema Series) beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.758,95) versteigert wurde.
