It achieved a price of USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,526.78), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ford Beckman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roma # 2, which sold at auction in June 2009 for EUR 5,246.00.

Die Arbeit Untitled (Black Wall Painting) von Ford Beckman wurde im Januar 2008 in der Auktion Open House bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.526,78) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ford Beckman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roma # 2 beobachtet, die im Juni 2009 für EUR 5.246,00 versteigert wurde.
