Despite a disappointment, a good price for Floria Sigismondi
When the work Beautiful People, 1996 by Floria Sigismondi was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,520.91). Despite this disappointing result, Beautiful People, 1996 is the most expensive artwork by Floria Sigismondi that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit Beautiful People, 1996 von Floria Sigismondi im April 2006 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
