Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Flavio Garciandia could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled #30 (Red) changed hands for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,998.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Flavio Garciandia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Segundo viaje de Marco Polo, which sold at auction in October this year for USD 37,800.00 (€ 35,768.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Flavio Garciandia konnte im November 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled #30 (Red) für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.998,68) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Flavio Garciandia mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Segundo viaje de Marco Polo beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für USD 37.800,00 (€ 35.768,36) versteigert wurde.
