It achieved a price of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,971.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Admittedly, works by Flavio Garciandia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Segundo viaje de Marco Polo in October this year with an auction result of USD 37,800.00 (€ 35,768.36).

Die Arbeit Untitled (from the series Tropicalia 1) von Flavio Garciandia wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.971,63) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Flavio Garciandia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Segundo viaje de Marco Polo im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 35.768,36).
