This artwork by Firmin Massot achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2010. In the Centuries of Style: Silver, European Ceramics, Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes auction, the work Unknown sold for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,400.87) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Firmin Massot - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Elizabeth Broadhead, later Lady Dashwood (1801-1889), small full-length, in a white dress, seated in a landscape, holding a sun hat, which sold at auction in December 2008 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 26,257.27).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Firmin Massot erzielte im Juni 2010 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Centuries of Style: Silver, European Ceramics, Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes wurde die Arbeit Unknown für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.400,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Firmin Massot mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Elizabeth Broadhead, later Lady Dashwood (1801-1889), small full-length, in a white dress, seated in a landscape, holding a sun hat beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 26.257,27) versteigert wurde.
