Auction result well in line with expectations

In July 2013 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & British Paintings, which included the work Portrait of a lady, half-length, in a blue dress and ruff by Firmin Massot. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,285.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Firmin Massot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Elizabeth Broadhead, later Lady Dashwood (1801-1889), small full-length, in a white dress, seated in a landscape, holding a sun hat in December 2008 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 26,257.27).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Juli 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, half-length, in a blue dress and ruff von Firmin Massot zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.285,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Firmin Massot auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of Elizabeth Broadhead, later Lady Dashwood (1801-1889), small full-length, in a white dress, seated in a landscape, holding a sun hat im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 26.257,27).
