Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work A Nude At Her Bath by Firmin Massot for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,738.56). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Firmin Massot - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Elizabeth Broadhead, later Lady Dashwood (1801-1889), small full-length, in a white dress, seated in a landscape, holding a sun hat, which sold at auction in December 2008 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 26,257.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Nude At Her Bath von Firmin Massot für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.738,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Firmin Massot mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Elizabeth Broadhead, later Lady Dashwood (1801-1889), small full-length, in a white dress, seated in a landscape, holding a sun hat beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 26.257,27) versteigert wurde.
