This artwork by Firmin Massot achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in June 2009. In the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings and Paintings auction, the work Portrait De Madame Jean-Conrad Hottinguer, Née Martha Elisa Redwood (1774-1830) sold for EUR 10,625.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Firmin Massot - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Elizabeth Broadhead, later Lady Dashwood (1801-1889), small full-length, in a white dress, seated in a landscape, holding a sun hat, which sold at auction in December 2008 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 26,257.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Firmin Massot erzielte im Juni 2009 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings and Paintings wurde die Arbeit Portrait De Madame Jean-Conrad Hottinguer, Née Martha Elisa Redwood (1774-1830) für EUR 10.625,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Firmin Massot mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Elizabeth Broadhead, later Lady Dashwood (1801-1889), small full-length, in a white dress, seated in a landscape, holding a sun hat beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 26.257,27) versteigert wurde.
