Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,050.00 (€ 8,250.49). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Firmin Massot - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Elizabeth Broadhead, later Lady Dashwood (1801-1889), small full-length, in a white dress, seated in a landscape, holding a sun hat, which sold at auction in December 2008 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 26,257.27).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.050,00 (€ 8.250,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Firmin Massot mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Elizabeth Broadhead, later Lady Dashwood (1801-1889), small full-length, in a white dress, seated in a landscape, holding a sun hat beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 26.257,27) versteigert wurde.
