Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still life with Mountain View by Fernando Botero was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper auction at Christies in London in February 2018. The price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,537.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernando Botero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Musicians in November this year with an auction result of USD 5,132,000.00 (€ 4,704,803.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still life with Mountain View von Fernando Botero wurde im Februar 2018 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.537,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernando Botero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Musicians im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.132.000,00 (€ 4.704.803,81).
