The work The Falls by Ferdinand Richardt was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2012. The auction ended at the price of USD 50,000.00 (€ 38,892.35), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ferdinand Richardt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of Niagara Falls in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 288,000.00 (€ 214,078.64).

Die Arbeit The Falls von Ferdinand Richardt wurde im September 2012 in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 38.892,35) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ferdinand Richardt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View of Niagara Falls im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 288.000,00 (€ 214.078,64).
