This artwork by Ferdinand Richardt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in January 2007. In the Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art auction, the work View Of Scandinavia sold for USD 14,375.00 (€ 11,059.39) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ferdinand Richardt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Niagara Falls in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 288,000.00 (€ 214,078.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ferdinand Richardt erzielte im Januar 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art wurde die Arbeit View Of Scandinavia für USD 14.375,00 (€ 11.059,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Richardt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of Niagara Falls im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 288.000,00 (€ 214.078,64).
