Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Heart Sutra by Feng Mingqiu was sold in the Contemporary Chinese Art III - The Estella Collection auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008. It changed hands for a price of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 5,665.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 55,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Feng Mingqiu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Light Form Script: Heart Sutra (Two Works), which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,890.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Heart Sutra von Feng Mingqiu wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art III - The Estella Collection bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 5.665,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 55.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Feng Mingqiu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Light Form Script: Heart Sutra (Two Works) beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.890,97) versteigert wurde.
