Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Feng Kanghou could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Cultured Legacy: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Chang Shiu Sig and Tung Shui Wah Collection auction, the work Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Seal Script changed hands for HKD 13,860.00 (€ 1,603.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Feng Kanghou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three White Furong Seals in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 885,000.00 (€ 107,843.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Feng Kanghou konnte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Cultured Legacy: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Chang Shiu Sig and Tung Shui Wah Collection wechselte die Arbeit Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Seal Script für HKD 13.860,00 (€ 1.603,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Feng Kanghou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three White Furong Seals im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 885.000,00 (€ 107.843,17).
