Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape / Calligraphy in Seal Script by Feng Kanghou was sold in the Cultured Legacy: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Chang Shiu Sig and Tung Shui Wah Collection auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 16,380.00 (€ 1,895.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Feng Kanghou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three White Furong Seals in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 885,000.00 (€ 107,843.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape / Calligraphy in Seal Script von Feng Kanghou wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Cultured Legacy: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Chang Shiu Sig and Tung Shui Wah Collection bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 16.380,00 (€ 1.895,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Feng Kanghou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three White Furong Seals im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 885.000,00 (€ 107.843,17).
