Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2009 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist/Modern, Day Sale, which included the work Selbstbildnis mit Papierhut und blauem Schal by Felix Nussbaum. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 96,116.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Felix Nussbaum - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stillleben Mit Schachteln (Still Life With Boxes), which sold at auction in February 2015 for GBP 197,000.00 (€ 271,633.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist/Modern, Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selbstbildnis mit Papierhut und blauem Schal von Felix Nussbaum zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 96.116,65) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Felix Nussbaum mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stillleben Mit Schachteln (Still Life With Boxes) beobachtet, die im Februar 2015 für GBP 197.000,00 (€ 271.633,74) versteigert wurde.
