Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session, which included the work "Untitled" (March 5th) #2 by Félix González-Torres. The price achieved of USD 607,500.00 (€ 540,672.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Félix González-Torres achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Untitled" (L.A.) in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 7,669,000.00 (€ 7,260,935.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Untitled" (March 5th) #2 von Félix González-Torres zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 607.500,00 (€ 540.672,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Félix González-Torres erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Untitled" (L.A.) im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.669.000,00 (€ 7.260.935,43).
