Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Theseus Finding The Sword Of His Father Aegeus by Felice Giani for USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,791.66). This price was achieved in the auction The Jeffrey E. Horvitz Collection of Italian Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Felice Giani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The garden of the Villa Aldini at Montmorency, with a view of Paris in the distance in July 2002 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 57,182.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Theseus Finding The Sword Of His Father Aegeus von Felice Giani für USD 17.500,00 (€ 11.791,66) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Jeffrey E. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Felice Giani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The garden of the Villa Aldini at Montmorency, with a view of Paris in the distance im Juli 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.850,00 (€ 57.182,14).
