Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Recto: Four Biblical Scenes Verso: Decorative Designs by Felice Giani was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2007. The price achieved of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,475.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Felice Giani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The garden of the Villa Aldini at Montmorency, with a view of Paris in the distance in July 2002 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 57,182.14).
